Arun Kumar Das has been recognised by the Hon’ble President of India, not once but twice!

Meet Arun Kumar Das, General Manager - Health, Safety & Environment, #BPCL #MumbaiRefinery. The brightest jewel amongst his several national and state awards is the distinguished President's Fire Service Medal, which he received in 2014 and again in 2021.

A member of the Fire Fighting Sectional Committee of the Bureau of Indian Standards and Head of the Functional Committee for revision of the Oil Industry Safety Directorate, he has contributed to the formulation and revision of OISD standards while being a member of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Govt. of India for the formulation of safety standards for Oil Industries in India.

After playing a major role in augmenting firefighting capabilities at Kochi Refinery, which is among the best industrial fire brigades in the country, Arun Kumar Das is at the helm of affairs at Mumbai Refinery since 2019.

Constantly upgrading knowledge and skills over thirty successful years, first at Kochi Refinery and then at Mumbai Refinery, while maintaining an impeccable track record at both places and being creative even in something as serious as fire and safety.

It is indeed a matter of honour for us, and we thank him for his services to Bharat Petroleum, and more importantly, to the nation.
