Abstract artist Caroline Christie Coxon works large format in a painterly process driven style.
The core intention of my art is to create and capture the spontaneous behaviour of paint. I facilitate and liberate the media by exposure to various unconventional processes and techniques – in order that an expanding and unique visual language is revealed.
With 30 years of exploring and experimenting with pigmented substances I have developed techniques that allow me to confidently create and record ‘paint behaviour’. I wish to share these unique painterly events and visual wonderlands. To some the visual stimuli may translate as cloud formation, landscape, cellular structure or something cosmic; others may find that these visual abstractions evoke an emotional response.”
