Artisan Real Estate’s Everards Printworks Regeneration Recognised at Bristol Property Industry Awards
Artisan Real Estate Limited
Adding value through developing and investing in UK real estate.
Our regeneration of Bristol’s historic Everards Printworks and neighbouring buildings into a stunning Old City hotel quarter has been recognised by the project being shortlisted for the Transformation Category at the 2022 Bristol Property Awards.?
The nomination for the much-coveted award reflects our increasing?commitment to multi-million investment in sustainable regeneration-based development projects in sensitive city-centre locations across the UK.
Artisan purchased the Everards Printworks site in March 2018, comprising the original printworks buildings together with a vacant office block located behind a stunning British Art Nouveau fa?ade. Planning permission was obtained in 2019 for a 255-bed Four Star Clayton Hotel, 4,000 sq. ft. of commercial space and 24 one and two-bed apartments.?
The stunning transformation of the site was completed in 2022, seamlessly bringing together listed buildings and more contemporary structures – including the restoration of the original Everards Printworks building with its unique fa?ade preserved and becoming a landmark entrance to the new hotel.
Welcoming the Transformation Award nomination Jaco Jansen, Artisan’s Chief Executive, said: “Artisan’s wholesale transformation of the Everard’s Printworks quarter is a stand-out example of how progressive regeneration can actively and quite dramatically transform sensitive urban environments?

We have a strong track record in delivering complex residential and mixed-use regeneration projects in sensitive urban and city-centre environments – including the award-winning New Waverley in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town and the transformation of the historic Custom House buildings on Glasgow’s Clydeside.
The company was founded in 2009 as an independent, entrepreneurial and values-led property and investment company operating primarily in regional city-centre locations across the UK. Artisan has now established itself as one of the UK’s most progressive and respected commercial and residential developers specialising in flexible, mixed-use regeneration projects in sensitive city centre environments.?
