Artisan Entrepreneurs in Guatemala

Belle & Sparrows recently returned from their 5th mission trip to Guatemala. In partnership with Welcome To My Father's House Ministries, we take a team of women to minister to and provide medical services to the mountainous coastal village of Tabacal. Carlos & Heidi Fernandez, of WTMFH, have spent the last 18 years serving this village through education, ministry, home construction, and implementing a freshwater system.

We bring supplies to the women of Tabacal each trip so they can learn a new skill and make goods to sell for supplemental income. In 2017, we began with basic card-making and added different designs each year. Last year we brought linen beverage napkins and they were creating such beautiful work in just a few months. We supplied the women with canvas make-up bags for this year's trip, and we are excited to see what they create!

It is the biggest blessing to share, encourage, and empower our sisters in Tabacal while creating economic opportunities for these artisan entrepreneurs.
