#artificialintelligence #136: An AI first educational institution based on research and intelligent conversations

I had shared about the plans for the Erdos research labs before. In a nutshell, the plan is

a) Create an AI first institute to learn AI

b) A Kaggle like model for research

c) Conducting research without a PhD catering for people in companies who aspire to conduct research.

d) Conduct interdisciplinary, collaborative research to further your career

e) We focus on two groups: researchers and teachers

But the most important part is intelligent conversations - much on the lines of erdos himself i.e. my brain is open.

In that sense, implementing these ideas in practise is complex because you are trying to model a collaborative intelligence.

My approach is based on creating a collaborative artefact(a knowledge graph) to use a combination of Large Language models and Knowledge Graphs - based on the work we are doing with neo4j, llamaindex and langchain - which I will share in the next newsletter.

Of course, I do not say that we are modelling an intelligent person - but we are creating a mechanism in which you could develop and collaborate around a central intelligence for an interdisciplinary problem.

Thus, given a set of people (say five collaborators), addressing an interdisciplinary problem, they create a collaborative knowledge graph using the platform.

Much like an intelligent collaborative mind like that of Erdos, its possible to create an entity based on a body of knowledge.

Such an entity then helps in collaborating with researchers to create and validate ideas.

So the research would be based on creating a collaborative ‘brain’ ?

a) ?start with LLM to create a KG using neo4j

b) ?then build the application on top

c) ?show how it avoids hallucination

d) ?Create a research using this entity

e) ?Share and enhance this model ?within the community

If you are interested in this, you can stay in touch here and we will come back to you when we have launched the Erdos Research Labs.

There is no initial cost but the process is selective since I believe we also have a lot to learn ourselves as we develop it

UPDATE

I wanted to link a previous post here - essentially peer review and publishing are the bedrock of academia. Both can be enhanced (and in case of peer review probably replaced) by LLMs
