In the recruitment technology landscape, AI has been strengthening its position for a few years now. The recent past already showed us that, in one form or another, AI is becoming a must-have in the recruiter’s toolbox. Innovation in HR and recruitment is still booming and more and more new AI-driven solutions for various problems are emerging.
In this article we'll talk about pre-screening on various tools and technologies, Me being a Technical Recruiter myself at GlobalLogic understand completely what mindset a recruiter has and especially when you're not from a technical background like B.Tech or MCA it becomes difficult at times to understand tech jargons. So, something that can help us in screening through CVs or understanding LinkedIn profiles better can be a great innovation.
Even for Techies, looking out for change or looking to upgrade their LinkedIn profiles to get noticed by Recruiters it can be a great support.
- Lets first talk about a CV Scanner, this can not only scan through CVs but also data from LinkedIn, GitHub, Stackoverflow, Online blogs, etc. The best part is that it is FREE.

This is how the UI looks like, where you can copy and paste data from CV, LinkedIn, etc.
For Example, I pasted the data from a Database Developer's CV, below is the analysis I get :
This analysis will not only help budding Technical Recruiters/ Sourcers but can help techies a lot to build and enhance their CVs.
- The second one is a Social Media profile Scanner, it is a chrome extension which can be added to your chrome. GlossaryTech Chrome Plugin is your tech recruiting and sourcing assistant. Once installed, you can always use the extension either for sourcing tech talent or for learning IT-related terms whilst browsing. The plug-in works for every single website, including Github, Wikipedia, Linkedin, and Stack Overflow.
-It highlights the technical terms in any profile and also helps you with a Glossary to understand the meaning for the same. This can be advantageous for budding recruiters to understand Technical Jargons like Front-End Technologies, Back-end Technologies, DevOps with examples.
Steps to add: Add chrome extension from https://glossarytech.com/plugin
Then open any website, for example, LinkedIn and open the profile you want to analyze, look for the Chrome extension, and click on the icon.
It will appear as above, you can select multiple tabs to know more from the list of filters in the sidebar.
- It also gives a detailed glossary about each term with examples to understand the analysis more.
- This can be really helpful in searching for Niche roles like GoLang.
I hope this helps you all budding recruiters to screen CVs and profiles on various platforms like LinkedIn, Stackoverflow, GitHub, etc. Analyzing resumes via CV scanner and also help Techies to self analyze their CVs and understand what the recruiter might be looking at. Glossary section in both help in detailed understanding.
If this helps you in any way do let me know, also if you seek any help or guidance do ping me. Happy to help.
