Artificial intelligence is coming a sensitive topic in today’s time. As sensitive as it sounds, it is the most powerful mechanism that we have in the world for innovations and newness. AI is all set to grab the future in its palm and rule the world with advanced technology and it’s applications. But it is we humans, who is responsible to control and process the use of AI in a systematic and rational manner. Till the time AI is in the palm of the human and is used for a social purpose, it’s constructive in nature. But as soon as the AI gets shifted in the palm of the humans who are individualistic and self-centric, destruction is bound to take place. Fortunately, humans have evolved AI and it’s used efficiently in various sectors of the industry.
1. Education:
This sector compiles the growth of the nation. Education itself has given rise to the brilliant feature known as the ‘artificial intelligence’. And this technology itself is being used in the education sector to empower the intellect of humans to that of machine learning. The following are the ways in which AI has drastically improved the education system:
· AI allows the automation of the administrative processes and allows teachers to spend more time in class clearing student doubts and making the session more interactive.
· The use of biometrics allows every teacher and the student to have their unique identity and there is no need to carry the id and take care of it so that it doesn’t get misplaced. Fingerprints are there for a lifetime and thus no threats of any other college student entering a particular college and leaking out the data or creating chaos.
· There are smart boards in every classroom today allowing the faculty to save time on finding chalk and duster every single time. Students can now learn online from their phones or laptops through AI devices too.
· ‘Netex’ is an AI interface which let’s online upload of assignment, tasks, illustration videos and answers. This enables students to learn fast and easily on a myriad of devices, anytime, anywhere.
· ‘Carnegie learning', an AI tool provides an instant feedback mechanism. This enables teachers to teach with respect to the educational needs on a timely basis.
· AI facilitates global learning. A student sitting in any part of the globe can learn from a tutor who is located in a distant place also.
· AI helps in data-driven forecasting which helps in the modeling of the complex data in the operational department.
· With the application of AI, education levels are estimated to increase by 47.5%. As people not going to schools and colleges can also learn at home with their phones. This will let the poor also study and reach higher levels. This is because every poor in the world if not having money, food or shelter, has a phone at least.
· AI can help in counseling students for their career based on their performances, goals, and records and can guide, suggest and improvise the career options for them. Only time can tell the future implementation of AI in this vast sector of education.
2. Fashion:
Fashion is a statement in itself which creates statements for people. And hence people are being more conscious about their fashion lifestyle. With the advent of AI, the fashion realm has faced an upscale due to the customization of products and adaptation techniques for trying out various products. The AI in the fashion industry has led to witnessing several positive changes such as:
· The 3D image of a person with the desired cloth can be tested with AI. Instead of looking at the mannequin and it’s cloth, and then deciding upon a decision, now with AI one can see themselves as a virtual mannequin trying on their wanted outfits. This enables faster decision making and results in a higher purchase.
· AI is blooming in online fashion trends too. Online retailers use the AI chatbots known as the ‘smart assistants' to talk to the customers and know their feedback or demand. This helps to enhance customer service and build customer loyalty. For example, Tommy Hilfiger has a Facebook chat bit which allows personalized shopping experience
· AI has given rise to virtual stylists also which tells which is the best fit and can guide on certain parameters before a purchase. This leads to customer conversion and satisfaction.
· ‘Stitch fix' is an AI tool which analyses the customer’s buying patterns and their profile and sorts out the best ones in accordance with their needs.
· Google lens is a feature which allows the user to snap a picture of the product they want and the lens finds the apt searches through which the customer can make a purchase from Google shopping, right from their smartphones. Pinterest also works on similar lines.
3. Automobiles:
What better than having a self-automated car in this busy schedule of ours. With the AI stepping in the automobile sector, we are successfully witnessing the presence of self-driven cars in the industry. The market trend shows the business has gone up by nearly 36% of the companies which undertook this technology.
For example, Toyota has come up with its new car model display in the form of augmented reality to enrich the first-hand customer experience. This segment of AI in the form of AR is gaining momentum with its display features.
A self-driving grocery delivers an AI-driven car called, ‘Auto X' is soon to be launched. A lot of progressive activities have been conducted with respect to autonomous cars in the automobile sector with the help of AI. A running example of this is, ‘Drive.ai', which is changing the current transportation system by manufacturing of self-driven car services, by utilizing AI.
Thus as we can see AI is immensely growing in all the aspects in different future and we can surely bet on its great future.
