Over the years, I have worked with many different tools which can be integrated into our Predictive Maintenance Programs to improve the quality and reliability of our findings. ?So, it is no surprise that I have been evaluating the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into our services for a while.
?Based on our firsthand experience with this technology, I think AI is going to be transformative technology in the area of operations, maintenance and reliability.
?It all comes down to multi-dimensional ?data analysis.? Many plants already collect a ton of data, which represent a wealth of historical information on majority of the critical equipment.? What AI enables us to do is use this information and extract key insights that will allow us to optimize the operations by:
?·???????? Predicting potential failures before they occur.
·???????? Identifying subtle patterns in the data that human operators might miss.
?These actions will lead to:
?·???????? Optimizing resources by prioritizing maintenance tasks based on predicted equipment health, preventing unnecessary inspections, and ensuring critical equipment receives timely attention.
·???????? Reduce downtime, by preventing equipment failures that can halt production lines for hours or even days.
?We have developed some innovative applications that have allowed us to better optimize our predictive maintenance services to deliver high quality results to our customers. I will be sharing some of these approaches in the next few posts with the goal of helping people find solutions to their issues.
