Will Artificial Intelligence overpower humans.

There are many ongoing debates whether or not Artificial Intelligence will overpower humans. One of the interesting discussion is from Jack Ma, where he talks about Machines not able to achieve experience and not having Wisdom.

There are couple of flaws in his statement,

1) Machines can acquire experience better and faster than human beings ( example the many reinforcement models out there). 

2) He is correct about current AI not having Wisdom. Current Neural networks possess neither wisdom nor a conscience. But this will change, with the advancements in technology.

But how?

Wisdom is not earned by just having experience in one field. So if we combine experience data from multiple categories (Science, Art, History), we will be able to stimulate wisdom. 

Now comes the question of conscience primarily our ability to differentiate right from wrong. Humans decide right and wrong based on our goals, we decide to adhere to a commitment or not, based on our aims. Our goals are dynamic and based on our goals, our conscience changes/differs. 

For example, a lawyer's decision to defend a murder accused. If his the goal is to be the best human being he won't take up the case. But if his goal is to be the best lawyer, committed to his profession, then he will. 

Unlike humans, machines have a fixed goal, programmed to complete one or more specific tasks. This is where the current AI designs are stuck. So, as long as we create machines that are goal oriented, they would never have a conscience of their own.

It is a long way for AI, but in the next 10 - 15 years, 35% of the jobs would get automated. And eventually on a longer run machines will overpower humans.
