Artificial Intelligence, Harmful or Not?!

World of today is filled with inventions, discoveries, start ups, renowned publications, undisputed scientific concepts, gravitational waves discoveries, hadron collider thrashing tiniest particles over and over again in search of the origin of life and so on and so forth. Though this is the age where discoveries have become part and parcel of every day life style but still one single field has taken the researchers by storm, Artificial Intelligence!
Artificial Intelligence: A machine/program capable of 'Thinking' and 'Developing a conscious mind' might successfully summarize A.I to some extent.
General Proposition:
Generally people believe that, A.I is one of the most important inventions of human mind till today. A brain attempting to build another brain by artificial implantation of human's conscious thought process for a better and progressive future doesn't sound bad at all. Apparently A.I is the hottest cake in the town of brainiest and a way to explore the possibilities in which human brain could work and invent. Many giants are working successfully towards this direction, building artificially intelligent machines/programs to compete humans in various jobs, chores and games. To large extent, they are progressing more than expected. A small seed ploughed by Da Vinci has now bloomed into a lush green jungle, with fruits and flowers all around but will there be anyone left to eat those fruits and smell those flowers?!
Beneficial VS Harmful:
Beneficial: A.I is a lot beneficial to mankind as far as advance robotics is concerned. Jobs where men cannot physically reach or endure the physical requirements or fulfill the velocity required, A.I plays a vital role. A.I based machines not only makes tasks easier but it also increases accuracy and output to thousand folds.
Harmful: A.I is a grooming technology, very famous, very innovative but apparently contains a harmful flavor. A.I, from its basic definition, completely clarifies that it won't need humans to perform its tasks. In fact in its final form, A.I would not even require humans to create A.I in the first place.
'Artificially intelligent machines building more artificially intelligent machines/programs to control our world, apparently putting humans out of jobs or worse, making them useless to live in the world is a hard topic to digest.'
Although its side effects have already been happening in the form of advance robotic hands working in bars instead of bar tenders, invention of driverless cars, trains, UAVs, NGN based switches replacing human operators (remember that time?! ), super computers, deep mind invention and so on. But the big question is, is it really that easy to happen? is it really that scary?
My Conclusion:
Process of technological evolution is a must and inevitable process. Considering technological evolutions, non-beneficial, isn't the right approach. Although scientific advancement puts many people out of jobs but does that mean we should put the scientific growth to a complete halt?! The answer is NO and NEVER.
When there were no computers, there existed clerks, when computers came into existence, we saw computer operators. When there were no cars, we had horses to travel, when cars came, we have taxi drivers. Before the invention of airplanes, large distances took place via ships, with the invention of airplanes shipping business decreased but eventually took another form and now the world uses both of the travelling privileges for separate purposes.
'The idea is, human race also evolves with the evolution in the technological age. Negative use of every technology exists, its up to the user how he/she uses the technology. In case of A.I, attempts should be made for its usage in the right directions to help humanity. As far as joblessness is concerned, I believe human race is smart enough to evolve with A.I age as well. We need to remind ourselves one very important idea, evolution of every field doesn't only bring growth in the technology but also in a way humans survive and perceive their future. If A.I is implemented in the right directions, there might come a time in the future when even A.I would get orthodox and humanity would be searching for the next big thing. But thinking that A.I would put HUMANS out of use is as foolish as one can think of, humanity contains all the abilities and strength to endure the circumstances created by its own inventions.
