Artificial Intelligence demands real world experience at Watson Customer Engagement in India.

In my last post I highlighted that our focus at IBM Watson Customer Engagement (WCE) is on developing a thriving interchange between clients, partners and agency leaders, that are using Watson powered AI to change the way in which we all do business.

There is no market in Asia that represents a bigger opportunity to benefit from this cooperative approach to the application of Watson powered AI than in India. The India market has been a hotbed of SaaS adoption and AI experimentation and we needed to bring in a new set of experienced leaders to take our business to the next level.

We did this recently by bringing to the WCE team three great leaders, based in India, who  deliver a huge boost to our collective experience in Cloud Business Solutions, SaaS Applications and Digital Platforms. They are Navneet Narula, Sandeep Mukerjee and Dawn Varghese. 

Firstly our new India/South Asia Head of Watson Customer Engagement, Navneet Narula. (he’s the one on the motorcycle above). Coming from a Customer Experience background (most recently at Oracle), Navneet has spent the last 17 years helping customers to solve digital challenges.  In an age where customers drive the conversations, he has helped a lot of brands to turn this into a major opportunity.  We look forward to Navneet leading the charge on how our Marketing, eCommece and Supply Chain customers in India can build competitive value from AI.

Joining as Digital Platform Leader is Sandeep Mukherjee. Sandeep has spent over 21 years in the IT industry and his experience extends through a number of industries including; Retail, CPG, Automotive, Travel & Hospitality, Telecommunications, Healthcare and the Public Sector. Prior to joining IBM, Sandeep played significant role at SAP as Hybris Country Head for the Indian Subcontinent. We are looking forward to Sandeep repeating his success with major Indian customers through Watson powered AI. 

Finally Dawn Varghese, who we are delighted to welcome back to IBM and Watson Customer Engagement to lead our efforts across Asia Pacific in the Retail and Distribution Industries for WCE. Dawn is a proven thought leader in Omni-Channel eCommerce and transformational digital platform projects, both in India and across Asia. Anyone who has worked with Dawn will truly understand what passion for client success means and we couldn't be happier to have him back on our team.

We are excited to bring the best and brightest professionals to Watson Customer Engagement in India, such as Navneet, Sandeep and Dawn.
