At 1997 I have been writing my BSc Industrial Engineering thesis with Mr Ercan Oztemel about “Artificial Intelligence; Forward Chaining Algorithm Design for Prescriptive Analytics”, it is one of pioneering project for the term but computer technology is not providing powerful computers to make something real time and efficient but technology and approach was promising.

Mid of 1990s Mobile Phones introduced a new era, mobility and digital networks. By 2000 this mobile network introduces “Mobile Data” and a new concept “Prosumer , a.k.a. Producer and Consumer of Data”. 

Eventually most of the technology actors underestimate this new gadgets and what changing on everyones life. Yes this Mobile Phone with new functionalities like GPS, High Speed Data Connection, High Quality Cameras, Voice and Sound peripherals and impressive processing power in a handful small devices.

2015 mobile devices has more processing power than the regular computers and laptops and more image processing capability than nonprofessional photo cameras. 

Business and enduser solution providers not give an attention to Artificial Intelligence more than 4 decades till Mobile Phone manufacturers focused on Image Processing (TrueId and FaceId) and Voice Processing (Siri, Cortana). Neuro Linguistic Processing (Google Translate etc).

Mobile Phone manufacturers (Android Group and IOS Group) made end user, any person on the world cope with disruptive technologies on their daily life.

During all these fast and disruptive changes Business Solution Providers focused on Enterprise Resource Planning and Business Intelligence so they don’t have enough resources, attention and budget for Artificial intelligence.

Then all of us realised another critical break event point “Data is new Oil”. The first time in human history Data -processed valuable data- has more worth than oil. Luckily we are living an era that all theorytical innovations becomes realities.

This new society “Uber Social Society” has drastically different habits than Generation X and Generation Y. This habit also impacts their expectation from working environment, business networks and colleagues and eventually bosses.

This is not fully satisfied even in developed countries. Industry 4.0 has been announced in 2013 at Hannover Fair Germany to take attention to this changes for business organisations.

Because every organisation needs to adopt the new way of doing business in “Uber Social Society” no matter manufacturing a car, a shoe, a rocket to Mars or a food delivery service.

Fortunately this new technologies and approaches are not Plug n Play. You need to draw and execute your own adventure with proper guidance. With delivering tens of big digital transformation projects around the globe in several industries we set up a new start up with my colleagues to deliver best services to Vietnam and neighbouring countries.
