Artificial Intelligence and beyond..

In a recent interview, I was asked to comment on the emergence of AI tech, particularly systems that make our lives easier. The below is an excerpt.

Why exactly is AI (Artificial Intelligence) changing the world?

Simple. It has the power to give back something irreplaceable, our most valuable commodity, time.

The emergence of Google Assistant, Cortana and Alexa has certainly provided a massive leap forward in reactive, time saving AI for the consumer. With improved voice control and task scheduling, such as turning the lights on, changing a TV channel or even heating your home, it is an exciting time in the world of AI.

Beyond 2021, we are going to see more refined complex scenario based controls, enhanced security (i.e. Multi-Factor Authentication for Alexa extended to skills), improved voice command accuracy, personalisation and much more.

This is just the beginning.
