Artificial Intelligence: #37 - A Glossary of machine learning and deep learning
Hello all
Welcome to edition #37
Happy new year!
Hope you had a restful and a safe start to the new year
We continue to grow even in the holiday season - now over 38K subs
In this newsletter, I will share an updated version of an AI glossary (which I shared before in a previous edition)
I created this for my students from publicly available sources (linked in the documents)
The challenge is to create a glossary which is both a good reference but also concise enough to be usable.
A glossary is very much needed because AI introduces many terms (and they keep expanding)
Hence, a reference for learners is very useful
I created two versions (both are in the zip file) - A concise version and a longer expanded version. The concise version is like a quick roadmap to help you get a feel of the lay of the land. The detailed version is more comprehensive
I hope you will find it useful
This is another great resource I saw today from Shlomo Kashani

400 pages-long and 4 years in making . the book "Deep Learning Interviews: Hundreds of fully solved job interview questions from a wide range of key topics in AI" is now free. I reviewed this book when it was first released last year and its very generous of Shlomo to offer it for free. I always recommend following his work on AI
See my post on "Deep Learning Interviews: Hundreds of fully solved job interview questions from a wide range of key topics in AI"
Also,
Over the break I read some interesting books
One of which was the The Japanese Mind: Understanding Contemporary Japanese Culture Paperback? (which I had read previously)
I think we should have similar books for all cultures because the emphasis on words helps to understand a culture better words that have unique meanings in specific cultures
for example, the Inuit (Eskimo) people famously have more than 50 of words for the concept of 'snow'
So, this is a great way to understand culture

2 年The Japanese learning is very interesting. I was working for Honda Motor Company a few years ago I have used to learn and unlearn certain methods and models.
