ARTICLES OF IMPEACHMENT, Part 2 March 5, 2025

Exhibited by the House of Representatives of the United States of America Against Donald John Trump, Former President of the United States

Here we go again (for reference, Articles of Impeachment Part I - December 18, 2019) https://www.congress.gov/116/bills/hres755/BILLS-116hres755enr.pdf)

As of current information and belief, we bring these articles to the people's representatives for consideration.

ARTICLE I: Abuse of Power and Economic Sabotage

The Constitution of the United States vests executive power in the President, who is bound by oath to faithfully execute the office, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution, and ensure that the laws of the United States are faithfully executed.

Donald John Trump, in his conduct while serving as President of the United States, willfully abused his powers by manipulating tariffs and economic policy to advance personal, political, and foreign adversary interests, rather than those of the American people.

Acts of Abuse of Power

Manipulating tariffs for political gain

  • Imposed broad, indiscriminate tariffs that failed to achieve stated objectives and instead caused economic instability, inflation, and financial harm to U.S. industries and consumers.
  • Used tariffs as a political weapon to coerce businesses and punish critics.
  • Failed to implement complementary industrial policies that would actually rebuild U.S. manufacturing, exposing the policy as a political ploy rather than an economic necessity.

Deliberately destabilizing U.S. economic and global standing

  • Created unnecessary trade conflicts that damaged U.S. relations with allies while failing to deter China’s global economic influence.
  • Weakened U.S. supply chains and industrial stability, contradicting the claim that tariffs would strengthen American industries.
  • Allowed foreign adversaries to benefit strategically from the economic uncertainty caused by the tariffs.

Willful dereliction of duty in economic governance

  • Pursued tariff policies without strategic economic planning or congressional oversight, demonstrating reckless disregard for the U.S. economy.
  • Ignored expert warnings from economic and national security officials regarding the damaging consequences of these policies.

These actions constitute an abuse of power and a betrayal of the public trust by deliberately causing economic harm while misleading the American people about the true motivations and effects of these policies.

Wherefore, Donald J. Trump, by such conduct, has demonstrated that he remains a clear and present danger to the economic and national security of the United States. He warrants impeachment, conviction, and disqualification from holding any office of honor, trust, or profit under the United States.

ARTICLE II: Corruption and Bribery Through Economic Manipulation

The Constitution prohibits federal officials from engaging in bribery, using government power for personal gain, or manipulating policy for financial or political advantages.

Donald John Trump willfully engaged in corrupt practices by:

Using tariffs as a tool for personal financial gain

  • Imposed trade policies that directly benefited political allies and donors while harming industries not aligned with his administration.
  • Used economic instability caused by tariffs to create opportunities for insider trading, political fundraising, and corporate favoritism.
  • Made public statements affecting market volatility, creating opportunities for allies and associates to benefit financially.

Favoring specific industries and donors through tariff exemptions and adjustments

  • Selectively applied or lifted tariffs to reward political allies while punishing industries that opposed him.
  • Threatened corporations with tariffs if they moved operations abroad while granting favors to industries supportive of his administration.

Attempting to coerce domestic and international businesses for political leverage

  • Pressured U.S. and foreign corporations to alter business decisions to align with his political agenda under threat of economic retaliation.
  • Used tariffs as a tool of economic coercion rather than a legitimate trade policy measure.

These actions constitute bribery, corruption, and a gross abuse of presidential power, warranting impeachment, conviction, and permanent disqualification from holding public office.

ARTICLE III: Obstruction of Congressional Oversight on Economic Policy

The Constitution grants Congress the sole authority to regulate commerce and oversee executive actions. In his conduct while President, Donald John Trump:

Obstructed congressional investigations into the economic impact of tariffs

  • Refused to comply with congressional subpoenas regarding economic policy decisions.
  • Directed executive officials and trade advisors not to cooperate with oversight committees examining tariff effects.

Withheld critical economic data from Congress and the public

  • Ordered government agencies to suppress or manipulate economic reports that contradicted his tariff policies.
  • Concealed internal White House assessments that indicated tariffs were harming the U.S. economy.

Attempted to control and distort economic information for political purposes

  • Pressured federal economists and agencies to present misleading narratives on the benefits of tariffs.
  • Engaged in deliberate disinformation campaigns to obscure the negative effects of tariffs from the public.

These actions constitute obstruction of Congress and defiance of constitutional checks and balances, warranting impeachment, conviction, and permanent disqualification from public office.

ARTICLE IV: Aiding and Abetting Foreign Adversaries Through Economic Destabilization

The Constitution defines treason as giving aid and comfort to enemies of the United States. While serving as President, Donald John Trump acted in ways that weakened U.S. global standing and strategically benefited adversarial nations, including China and Russia.

Tariff policies that ultimately strengthened foreign adversaries

  • Failed to curb Chinese economic dominance while damaging U.S. industries.
  • Created trade conflicts that pushed U.S. allies closer to China and Russia, undermining U.S. influence.

Intentionally fostering economic instability that benefited geopolitical rivals

  • Weakened the U.S. economy through unnecessary trade disruptions while adversaries took advantage of the void.
  • Allowed China to expand its global trade influence while failing to implement effective countermeasures.

Damaging alliances critical to U.S. economic and national security

  • Undermined economic partnerships with NATO allies, Canada, Mexico, and the EU, reducing U.S. leverage in global trade negotiations.
  • Alienated key economic and military allies, giving adversarial nations greater diplomatic leverage.

These actions constitute a betrayal of U.S. national interests, dereliction of duty, and potential treason, warranting impeachment, conviction, and permanent disqualification from public office.

Conclusion: Impeachment, Conviction, and Disqualification

Donald John Trump, by engaging in these acts:

? Abused the powers of the presidency for personal and political gain.

? Endangered the economic and national security of the United States.

? Engaged in corruption, bribery, and obstruction of justice.

? Aided foreign adversaries through reckless economic policies.

For these reasons, Donald John Trump must be impeached, convicted, and permanently barred from holding office in the United States.
