Farmers have great importance in society where they are the ones who cultivate crops and feed the society. Well! each human starves for proper food for the survival and it is basic necessaries of people. Farmers are the ones filling the appetite tum of every existence. India is land of villages. And majority of her population lives in villages. Most of them are farmers while agriculture is their occupation. They work on the fields that are around the village. A typical life of indian farmer are full of difficulties. In spite of his hard labour he survives life of extreme poverty. He is born in debt, lives in debt, and passes away in debt. His crops are at the mercy of rains. Famines or floods often take away the fruitful outcome of his hard labour. Still he is contended! If he fall ill, he finds no medical facilities for his treatment. Often a farmer dies by untreated and uncared for there are also only a few schools for the education of his children. The mud huts in which they live often demolishes during rain and his humble belongings are all ruined. Pucca houses are rare. We live in the cities cannot even imagine the hardships of farmer's life. Many types of farmers included and all have equal significance.

Probably farmers cultivate crops like wheat, barley, rice etc. Since the maximum intake in the India is of wheat & rice. And so the cultivation of wheat and rice is wide spectacular in farming. Moreover, farmers who cultivate these crops have prime importance. And the ones who cultivate fruits & vegetables prepare soil for different species according to its season. Also farmers need to have great knowledge about fruits & crops. There are many other farmers who grow different other types. Furthermore, they have to work so hard to get maximum harvesting!!

Farmers contribute almost 17% of the Indian economy. It is the maximum of all. Still farmer is deprived of essentials common to mankind. A Farmer is utmost hard working, wakes up early in the morning taking his plough with his cattle goes to the field, works all day despite the hardships of weather. We find him working on his field sowing, ploughing or reaping in the utter coldness and also in the summer.

Farmer work till noon & takes his mid-day meal under a tree and resumes back his work. Often listening songs break the monotony of his hard labour.?At the door of his humble cottage is the happiest time of the day for him. Well! He is the king of his humble cottage for his well earned rest.

Well! indian farmers also has another side, indulge the joy of fresh breeze and sun- shine. The villagers extend greater fellowships among each other in their distressess. Number of reforms are needed to make the life of the farmer happier and healthier. It is spectacular initiatives the government offers its utmost attention to their problems. Various programmes of village upliftment have been taken in hand. Through scientific methods of agriculture, poverty is being removed. The prosperity of the farmer means the prosperity of the nation. In the near future, condition of farmer hopefully will improve.

The “Jawahar Rozgar Yojna ” was launched to improve the condition of life of the rural poor. ‘Panchayati Raj’ seeks to offer power to the people to work out their own destiny. The central government offer loans to farmers upto Rs. 10,000/- would be waived. The life of an Indian farmer in twenty years hence would be transformed from the survival of today. They would no longer be in debt, as Good quality seeds, fertilizers and pesticides are already being provided to farmers. Tractor training has now become a common sight.?

Farmers are the backbone of society. As a result, the entire population of the country depend upon farmers, be it small or the largest country. Though farmers have so much importance still they do not have proper living and that has to be more concerned by government in the days to come!

The condition of farmers in India is worried as many suicide news of farmers every week or month hit us leaving our heart wrenching. Even the middlemen get most of the better income, but a farmer goes in famine. As a result, they attempt suicides.

Furthermore, the other reason for the worried condition of farmers is Global warming. Since Global Warming is hampering our planet in every way, it affects our farmers too. Because of global warming, there is delay in seasons. As different crops have their own season to ripe, they don't get nourishment via photosynthesis & rain water.

Being a human we need a farmer three times a day!! Thank farmers!!

In order to save farmers, our Government is trying to provide them with much various privileges. Recently the government has exempted them from all the loans. Moreover, the government pays an annual pension of Rs. 6000 to them. This helps them to at least have some earning apart from the profession. Furthermore, the government provides quotas (reservations) to their children. This ensures that their children get proper education.

Moreover the growing population of the country, being a citizen ensure take initiatives to help farmers of our country.
