An article I wrote recently, suggesting that integrated water basin development approaches may be a solution for climate change problems facing Iran. The recent flooding that severely impacted the Karkheh River Basin may have had less damage and loss effects if more integrated approaches to water basin development had been adopted. The example of China’s Hiehe basin is indicated.
