Art&Graft X LDF 2024
On Wednesday 18th September, Art&Graft opened its doors to welcome London Design Festival attendees to our open studio experience.
We showcased our bespoke collection of prints, titled ‘THE VIEW FROM 44’, which were designed in response to the varied and beautiful glass details in the studio and the movement of light throughout the building during the day.
Guests were then taken on a journey through time and around the space, starting in the Workshop with an audio-visual presentation.
Candid conversations between Mike & Vicky focussed on the redesign of 44 Loman Street as Art&Graft’s new hub for creativity, inspiration and collaboration; charting their journey to find a space that truly represented (and would grow with) our creative team.
Our ‘archive rooms’ honed in on the rich history of the building, a surviving pillar in what was once a street full of workshops – from fur and hat factories to tile and brick manufacturers.
The rooms also showcased the amazing slide collection donated by the building’s previous owners, documenting the first renovation from Victorian workshop to graphic design studio back in 1997.
Upstairs in the studio’s open-plan workspace, reels showing Art&Graft’s commercial partnerships and internal studio projects bookended either side of the space, reflecting the two pillars that make up the studio.
Thank you to every single person who visited us during the festival, it was a pleasure to be able to share our hub of creativity with the wider design community, and to hear all the love and appreciation.
Also a special shout out to our brilliant brand partners who joined the team for closing drinks to celebrate ‘THE VIEW FROM 44’, and our magical studio space that allows us to create.
