Artefact teams up with research company Odoxa for a comprehensive survey on the Future of Work with AI

Artefact partnered with Odoxa, a leading independent research institute, to conduct a survey titled “Future of Work with AI”. This study analyzes the impact of AI on organizational transformation and the evolution of the workforce, featuring insights from industry leaders and real-world use cases.

The survey gathered insights from a panel of more than 2,000 participants and 30 qualitative interviews with key figures in AI transformation, including business & tech leaders from Adeo, Alan, Alma, Ardian, Groupe BPCE, Dust, Edenred, Engie, GHS, Heineken France, LaborIA, Legrand, MACIF, MAIF, Malt, Photoroom, Orange, Robertet Group, Suez, Total Energies, Transdev and Veolia.

Key Findings From The Survey

  • AI Adoption is accelerating, with no turning back for users. Already, 12% of employees use AI at work, and 92% of them report satisfaction. AI is now an integral part of daily workflows.
  • AI saves time and boosts productivity. On average, users reclaim 57 minutes per day, so that they can focus on strategic tasks and 21% have developed new skills.
  • AI fosters collaboration and human-centric work. 33% of users interact more with colleagues, and 58% find their work more collaborative. AI is shifting back-office roles towards customer-facing and strategic functions.
  • Trust is key to AI success. 2/3 of employees still see AI as a threat, and companies must build confidence through clear governance and transparency. Organizations investing in proprietary, trusted AI solutions see 4x higher productivity gains.

Florence Bénézit, Expert Partner at Artefact, who co-authored this report with Odoxa, wrote a synthesis.

Artefact was an active partner of the AI Action Summit in France

This international event, organized by the Presidency of the French Republic, took place from 6 - 10 February. Artefact was proud to be among the official contributors to this summit, by carrying out this survey.

Before the summit launch, Artefact presented its key findings to 100 VIP members of the AI ecosystem in the presence of Ms. Astrid Panosyan-Bouvet, Minister of Labor and Employment, who gave an inspiring keynote (French talk here) about how AI is a strategic lever for companies and talent.

Vincent Luciani, CEO and founder of Artefact, presented the main insights of The Future of Work with AI survey, at this Artefact's conference.

He shared positive outcomes on the benefits of generative AI boosting employee productivity and enhancing collaboration, with 92% of users reporting satisfaction.

By refining processes and enabling more sophisticated workflows, traditional AI fosters job creation and growth. Furthermore, the rise of AI agents promises a leap in productivity by automating complex tasks, reducing turnaround times, and reallocating repetitive roles to higher-value work, particularly in client-facing and creative domains.

“Organizations must embrace governance, knowledge sharing, and workforce upskilling to maximize AI's potential while fostering trust and innovation for long-term competitiveness.” sums up Vincent. Read a synthesis of his speech here.

Fireside chat between Odoxa and Artefact about “The Future of Work With AI” survey for deeper views and analysis

Céline Bracq, CEO of Odoxa, and Florence Bénézit, Partner at Artefact and Data & AI Governance Expert, who co-authored this report, discuss its findings and share their views.

Watch their joint Interview

Among the main benefits AI brings:

  • Almost 60% of employees interviewed currently have or will soon have a relationship with AI.
  • Younger workers have more repetitive tasks that are well suited to AI, but seniors are just as curious as younger ones and experiment just as much with AI.
  • 83% of respondents say that AI makes their work simpler and more enjoyable.
  • 25% of employees save up to 2hours per day with AI, but Sometimes worry, "Will AI replace me?

"To try AI is to adopt it. Employees see it as practical, time-saving, and even enjoyable, but questions around security, training, and job evolution remain vital," says Céline Bracq, CEO of Odoxa

But there are also challenges companies must address to reassure employees and prepare them for the changes AI will bring about job security concerns, training gaps and cognitive engagement.

Florence Bénézit concludes: "The insights we've gathered provide a clear roadmap for innovation and collaboration in the industry."

The imperative of AI sovereignty and the power of strategic partnerships

Experts from Mistral AI and Nvidia joined Rémi Sabonnadiere, Partner at Artefact Switzerland (CEO of Effixis, an Artefact company) and met at the January 30th conference held at Unlimitrust Campus (innovation hub) and to discuss how organizations can harness AI's transformative potential while addressing these sovereignty challenges.

Rémi says: “AI sovereignty is not just a buzzword—it’s a strategic necessity. As AI becomes more deeply integrated into business operations and decision-making, organizations must take proactive steps to ensure they maintain control over their data, infrastructure, and regulatory compliance.“

Why AI Sovereignty Matters

AI sovereignty is about independence. It enables companies to independently control AI technologies, data, and regulations to secure strategic independence.

  • Dependence on AI providers: risks of relying on external AI vendors, such as pricing changes and restricted access.
  • The data dilemma: challenges around secure data storage, processing, and governance to balance privacy with innovation.
  • The compute barrier: the high computational demands for AI, questioning whether enterprises should invest in on-premise infrastructure.
  • The state of governance AI: early AI adoption can boost productivity, reduce costs, and accelerate decision-making.
  • On-prem AI: how on-premise AI can offer enhanced security, predictable costs, and customization to meet industry needs.

The path to AI sovereignty lies in fostering collaboration and innovation while respecting ethical and regulatory standards, principles at the heart of Artefact's initiatives.
