The Art of the Weekend Hustle
Many people believe that hustling on the weekend is difficult and draining.
I used to be one of these people. I believed that weekend hustling would leave me burnt out and hating my work.
But, in fact, as I am writing this article, it is a Saturday afternoon and I have just recorded a podcast episode, completed two sales calls, written a second article, and finished some reporting.
And here's the kicker: I couldn’t be feeling more inspired!
I believe that working on the weekends with the correct mentality and goals in mind can actually feed your motivation and energy.
I have been working over the weekend for the past three months, and now, when I start work on a Monday morning, I feel like there’s a truckload of momentum behind me.
From the new insights I've gained to the extra deals I've closed; the fresh prospects I've engaged to the new recruits I've found for my team: the weekend hustle keeps me ahead of the game.
My energy and passion are through-the-roof.
Whereas, when I’d take time to chill on the weekend, I’d feel incredibly tired because I was doing nothing productive with my time.
I’d go out and waste money on countless dinners and outings that really didn’t move me in the direction of my goals.
Even worse, I’d go into Monday feeling behind the eight-ball and without any momentum.
If you run a business or you’re in sales, I’d strongly suggest breaking away from the many myths around “work-life balance” and “burn-out” etc.
If you have the right goals and mentality, you'll amaze yourself with what you can achieve.
