Sun Tzu's Art of War is a 1,500+ year old "guideline" used effectively by Army Generals and World Leaders (Donald Trump?) to effectively fight battles. (Whether he was an actual person, who knows) We are all in some sort of battle. Growing our company, expanding our markets, searching for candidates to help us grow, or looking for any new opportunity. The amount of advice available within this manuscript is poignant and timeless, especially in our daily activities today.

Instead of bombarding you with all of this wisdom, as our attention span is limited (I'm definitely an Ant!), let me focus in on a few of the theories that may help you in wherever you are in your life and business (also helps in relationships!)

#1: "A leader leads by example, not by force": Walk the Talk. This is especially important in organizations today. People follow Authentic, Real. If your a leader, company, or father (or mother): Be Real, Simple. In relation to LinkedIN, just have authentic conversations, post good things (better than this!), make every second count in your interactions.

#2: "You have to Believe in Yourself": (or "know yourself and you will win all battles"). Know your strengths, weaknesses, delegate, understand where to fight based on "what you have" or "who you are". Take some time out, write down your strengths, where you think you can add value to a market, person, or customer. Test your assumptions. The same goes for your weaknesses. What are they? What are you going to do to fix them? Communication (take a course, practice on your Dog), Numbers (Read a Book, Balance your checkbook), etc. Write them down, and your strategy to address them. Once you master yourself the opportunities are endless. Be Honest.

#3: "All War is Based on Deception": Tons of examples here. Especially War related stories. In today's world, this is so important: Image. Always present yourself in the best manner possible (irregardless of the situation). People will remember. Try to live steadily, even keel. It's very important.

Take these three concepts and work on them.

Happy Holidays!
