The Art of Saying NO, Part 3

The Art of Saying NO, Part 1

The Art of Saying NO, Part 2

Here, I will share the third technique of saying NO.

Let’s check it out.

HACK 3:Pre-empting what’s coming your way

This hack requires you to be proactive in anticipating the work.

It is especially applicable during a meeting or discussion, where you can see an additional responsibility coming your way.

The hack comes in handy if your hands are already full and you know that you won’t be able to accommodate any new request.

Pre-empting allows you to make your situation clear, even before the works land in your lap.

Simply stating the number of projects in hand and the approaching deadlines is sufficient to clear your position and divert a task coming your way.

It saves you the ignominy of refusing a task, once it’s assigned to you.

I have seen some efficient colleagues who mastered this one technique, which helped them to remain focused and deliver outstanding results.

Do share the feedback in the comments section.

See you soon in?Part 4 of?the series.

Cheers!

This is a great tip Lalit Hundalani. It saves face, it eliminates awkwardness. Simply state a fact, and that fact creates a buffer around your time, energy and focus.
