The Art of Polite Persistence
Over the last 20+ years in sales, I have come to believe that a) there will be a time when it is right for new business to happen with a client but b) you don't know when it will be! I recently contacted a company and buyer I first had dealings with 8 years ago. We never did any business then but I have kept in touch and now the time is right and I have my first order. The moral is to keep in contact, over what can sometimes be a very long time, and to ensure you are there when it is right for two companies to come together. Polite persistence does pay!
