My journey as Director of Communications for the Connecticut Chapter of eWomenNetwork wasn't just about starting a chapter; it was about discovering myself through networking.

Let me start by saying this would not have been possible without the unwavering support of Anne (Annie) Garland - the chapter's Founding, Award-Winning Executive Managing Director.

Recognizing leadership qualities I couldn't see in myself, Anne mentored and guided me, bringing me from the shadows into the spotlight.

Today, I stand here grateful for her influence and the incredible journey we shared in transforming the Connecticut chapter.

The Connecticut chapter of eWomenNetwork was a fresh start, brimming with potential. However, establishing an online presence, attracting members, and fostering a strong community required a strategic approach.

As Communications Manager, I developed a comprehensive communications strategy to increase visibility, promote events, and foster a thriving community.

• Multi-Channel Communication: Newsletters, social media, and strategic press releases spread the word. Collaboration with leadership ensured consistent messaging.
