Women women women!! Where do I even start?
This word has become such a cliché now and has no single meaning attached to it anymore. Everywhere you turn, you hear women’s rights, Women empowerment, Women this and Women that !!!!! Who are we really?
?Some of them call us a boon and some a curse. Everyone has something to say about a woman, something to judge and some have opinions too. This is exactly the state of women in today’s era. There is nothing that goes unnoticed. We live in a world where everyone’s eyes are fully focussed on us. One minor slip and the world is waiting to pounce at you. I wonder what this is all about. Why does a woman need so much of attention? Why is she everyone’s focal point? Why is it everyone’s business to comment on her?
The answer is simple. It’s because she is considered weak. Her patience and magnanimity are looked at as weakness. But the irony is that there is no stronger willed being than a woman in the entire planet. Is there anything that a woman cannot do?
?Multi -tasking is her forte. She dons many a role in her life. A loving daughter, dutiful wife, caring mother, a pampering grandmother not to forget the sincere employee and the never-ending list goes on. She fits in each and every role as if it was custom made, in fact it is. Adaptability is her second name. You throw a lemon at her, and you get a lemonade. That’s the attitude. In short women are ‘Warriors Of Many Eternal Nuisance’.
A woman needs to be celebrated and cherished not only on Women’s Day but every single day. There is a reason why there are so many festivals celebrating various Godesses in India.They are considered mighty and strong and looked upon as saviours. And every woman is an example of just that.

On a lighter note, as the Tamil saying goes “Sweet kadaiku edhuku boss vilambaram” (Why does a sweet shop need advertisement?). Women actually don’t need Women’s Day to be treated special.
