Art Leadership Program
Servant leadership is a huge factor that has driven the success of One River from its beginnings in 2012. It's a term that confuses many and a difficult trait to find when we hire people for our Director-in-training positions. It seems to be an oxymoron but it really isn't.
A Servant Leader is definitely still a leader who can inspire, take charge and drive activity. However, servant leadership achieves its goals by helping others be the best they can at their jobs. A servant leader is always looking for ways to allow their staff to thrive and be successful.
Hallmarks of a servant leader are: Mentoring and coaching abilities, empathy and understanding, high levels of individual competence at every task in the school, willingness to roll up their sleeves and pitch in and expect the best from themselves and their staff.
Our Leadership Training programs help to identify and foster people inside our organization as well as bring in talent from outside who epitomize these servant leader traits.
