Art Inspiration thu Nature

We recently had several trees removed. My wife kept pulling limbs off the trailer before the tree service could leave commenting on how beautiful they were. This limb was the pallet inspiration for the attached abstract. I read one of Pamela Stockamore's comments about a linkedin post showing the corrosion inside a heat exchanger. As an artist, she commented on the beauty of the pallet and not the cost of repairing it.

I am curious as to what other inspirations artists use for their work. Would like to hear from you.

48x48 Acrylic Abstract on textured canvas. This piece along with three others were purchased by a hospital this week for permanent display as part of their "Healing Arts" initiative.

Hey Jim ! I found it... love the lichen. I live near a 5000 acre wildlife refuge and walk my dog there almost every day - even during snow storms. I see all sorts of things. I'm constantly picking stuff - mostly for their colors. I have a collection of lichen in my studio and will most definitely be getting a few pieces out of them. I loved the colors of the corrosion inside what ever that thing was that Greg Cosgro posted yesterday.
