The Art of Healing: Visit a New City.

Hey there. It's been a minute. I was in New York a week ago...and let me tell you, it completely changed my perspective.

You know what they say, "If you're ever feeling down about yourself, visit a new city."

It's the truth. From the moment I touched down my energy shifted, I could feel my personal vibration rising.

I was excited. Full of positivity, curiosity, and motivation. I felt motivated to take over the city and take over my life.

One of my favorite moments from my trip.

'On the Low' - Burna Boy

I met this man on Monday in Manhattan. I was casually browsing Art & Fleas, a collective artist market. We started a conversation on art, design, and putting ourselves out there.

He told me, "The moment I saw you, I knew you could make it in New York."

He said, "ANYONE can make it in New York." It's all about your drive, your purpose, and your intention. And of course, the people you know.

There's so much opportunity up there. There's opportunity everywhere, but there's something different about New York. This was my first time visiting since I was 9 years old. It was exhilarating exploring the city as an adult. I was mostly in Brooklyn, and made it to the city twice.

Brooklyn has my heart.

I felt so much love when I was there. Everyone I know and met has been convincing me to move up there. I was considering it this past year, but now I really think I'm sold. Just give me a few months to get my plan together, and you know where to find me.

I love Atlanta, it's my home and always will be. I will forever be grateful for the connections I made, the work I was able to do, and the impact I was able to create.

This is just a reminder that there's more out there. Before my trip to New York, I was feeling a bit low and lost. I recently quit a job that I thought I would be working for at least a year. I felt exhausted and burnt out. A week later, I am recovering from my travels and parties, but in a better space mentally. It almost feels as if a door has shut behind me energetically, and I am making my way up to the next opportunity.

It's so close I can feel it. I dream about it, think about it, talk about it. I feel that I have reached Sami 2.0 (this was my goal for my last birthday)....New goal: Sami 2.2

It's me vs me baby!

The only thing stopping me is my limiting beliefs. I am working to break this mindset and open my heart to what I truly deserve.

Whether that's New York, California, or wherever...I know the right opportunity will find me. I know I am on the right path. I know this for many reasons:

1. I feel more at peace
2. I have been meeting the right people (often mutual friends by accident)
3. I keep seeing my Angel Numbers (1111, 222, 777, 888, 1210)

I say all this to let you know that if you're transitioning or in an "in-between" phase, don't give up. Instead, push yourself out of your comfort zone. Do something you have never done before, something that you may be afraid of.

Am I scared of moving to a new city? Yes. Will I let it stop me? No.

I choose to push past my fears. I let go of anything holding me back.

This year, I have traveled to Chicago and New York. Up next: Miami... don't sleep on me. I'm moving faster than a minute and I'm not finished. Let's see where 2022 takes me.
