The Art of Stop Motion

The stop motion style of Yoshi's Woolly World trailers evokes the charm of children's shows like Bob the Builder and Shaun the Sheep, resonating with its core audience of children and parents. The unique wool aesthetic creates a distinct, memorable visual identity, setting the game apart in a crowded market.

Cross-Promotion Mastery

Breaking the norm of game trailers that solely focus on the game, Yoshi's Woolly World's trailers simultaneously promote the game and its amiibo figures. This dual approach not only increases product awareness but also highlights the cozy, approachable nature of the game through its lifelike characters.

The incorporation of 30 animated shorts in Yoshi's Woolly World is a brilliant example of maximizing production investments. I really enjoy those TrailerTuesday posts, hope you keep going! Editing has become one of my biggest passions for the past 3-4 years, because of that I've started paying more attention to the editing in shows/ trailers/ YT videos to learn something new. Editors who can enhance the storytelling through their editing are being slept on and should be credited more, so I appreciate what you do with these weekly posts!
