The rough was sold for a bargain $16 million and was cut in NYC into a 163.41 carat D colored, Flawless emerald cut diamond. Famed jeweler De Grisogono who bought the rough stone later designed the necklace as a whole. The asymmetrical shape is a dominant design of the necklace which features 18 emerald cut diamonds and two rows of emeralds pear shape gemstones that surround a large part of the necklace.
