The Art Of Creative Thinking

In today's fast-paced and ever-changing world, creativity has become an invaluable skill. Whether you are an artist, a writer, an entrepreneur, or simply someone who wants to approach problem-solving in new and exciting ways, creative thinking can help you stand out and thrive.

In the article, "Marketing God", Shed Simove and I sat down to discuss how we can turn anything that's boring into something viral that people are willing to buy.

1) Fail Upwards

According to Shed, failing upwards is something that we can all do. However, it's not something that's highly encouraged in our society. He said that because of the fear of making mistakes and looking silly in front of everybody, that's why many people don't start what they've always wanted to accomplish.

2) Reframe Your Mindset

Therefore, he highlighted that there are 2 things that you should take note of when such occasions arise.

i) Remind yourself that you don't really look silly because like what Shed has mentioned, no one notices most times. "And if they are, they are saying you are doing something well and you got a lot of followers on Facebook, Twitter, or where ever. So, don’t worry too much about people noticing you. Even if you do make a mistake and people noticed. They admire that you are trying".

ii) Shed shared that you can make a lot of mistakes and still become successful. What does he mean? "That’s the wonderful thing because what you do is you just bounce from mistake to mistake. As long as you don’t repeat those mistakes you’ve done before, you’ll get it in the end. So, I take a mistake as a signpost that I’m trying for something. So, don’t get me wrong. I’m not happy when that happens. But, you must see it as a signpost that says Rayson, I’m doing something that’s not been done before, either for me or for the world, and therefore, okay I made a mistake, I just going to carry on. Tweak that and get success down the line".?

3) Believe In Your Brain

No matter what, you still got to have faith in what you do because when no one believes in you and the project that you are embarking on, only you are the one who can believe in you. Period. Don't be afraid to start before you are ready because the truth is you will never feel like you are 100% ready. Sometimes you've just got to commit yourself and jump in the deep end!

If you keep waiting until you are ready or for the perfect conditions there is an even greater risk that you will miss the opportunity or your chance to shine! Therefore, as Shed mentioned: "Please believe in your brain and have natural creativities. Reach out to people whom you can find with a couple of clicks and bring some of your ideas to life".
