Even ordinary work becomes extraordinary when it receives the kiss of the selfless spirit. - Meet Patel
Introduction
In a business life, you need to be the learner till the end. For a learner, it is necessary to be humble first. You're a learning animal and the whole universe is a school. Sometimes life tests you. You have to deal with life's ultimate challenges as they occur. Life gives you no chance for replays. Mastery in any field is about being present in life. You have to learn to watch, smell, touch, taste and feel this living presence if you have to excel in any field. Master is about surrendering to the present. Real mastery comes from a quick assessment of an unpredictable situation, you've to visualize the situation, explore options for actions and act rapidly.
Victory Begins with Clarity
Your victory begins with clarity. You always achieve victory twice in anything. First, it's achieved in the mind and only then in real situations. This requires you to start with the removal of excess informations and distractions from the mind to concentrate your actions. You need to be able to discard unnecessary thoughts and emotions to be totally focussed on your goal, to command your whole you, to do exactly what you are supposed to do.
The First Stage: Shaping the Mind
The first stage of creating a meditative mind is to form the mind. A goal gives direction to mind, and boundaries for our attention. When you commit your whole life, your whole you, to a goal, the divine takes over to enable whatever you aspire to achieve. When you are commited, you go beyond pain and pleasure in pursuit of results. The environment around you vibrates with the intensity of your emotions.
Distinguishing Action from Activity
Not all your activities are action: When you are not relaxed, your mind cooks up conspiracy theories involving subjects. This results into making you perceive your situation differently from what it actually is. Activity is a mechanical process. There is no consciousness involved in it. In any activity, the mind is at work independent of the situation just like you press the button of a toy, it will start acting i.e. walking, irrespective of whether it is walking into a fire or water.
Conscious Action: Engaging with Presence
In conscious action, the body and the mind act according to the demands of the situation. When you engage in conscious action, you develop situation intelligence. When consciousness is brought to activity, you understand the meaningless nature of many of one's mindless motion just like when you move your feet restlessly while reading a book, you're engaged in mindless motion. When you become conscious of such meaningless movements, you stop by yourself. this prevents vital energy from being wasted. Real action follows from conscious understanding of the energy behind your action. This meaningless activities are your creation, and you're its creator. And the creative power is always greater than the creation. There're two paths: the path of contemplative knowledge and the path of selfless action. Both these paths lead to the same goal with your pure potential.
Meditation: Beyond Stillness and Inaction
Meditation is often taken as an illusion that it is about sitting quietly with eyes closed and doing nothing. it is foolishness. No one can actually prevent action by simply restraining the organs. One can sit quietly in a room but their mind can still be noisy and active with thoughts. Even if you're able to restrain that, your heart continues to beat in a specific rhythm, planets move in their orbits - all of nature participates in the grand symphony of ceaseless action. The whole of natures, including human nature, is nothing but constant movement and action making you a part of that movement for continuous time. No one can rest even for an instant without action. Hence, inaction is nothing but an illusion. Your indecision is also a decision to do nothing so your inaction.

Selfless Actions: The Key to Fulfillment
The key is the make your actions - selfless actions. Even on the path of knowledge one needs to sustain the body through nutrition and exercise. By energetic and cheerful performance of your duties, you can serve yourself and the world better. You can gradually reach the highest peak of work through selfless actions.
Meditation in Action: Work as Worship
Meditation in action: When your work becomes worship, it is transformed into workship. When you begin to work with deep attention and love, work becomes more and more engaging. It is the attention we give it that makes work engaging. Doing work that we love to do never tries us like a great cricketer rarely gets tired of playing cricket, or a loving mother is never fully exhausted while looking after her child. The love for our work makes our effort seems effortless. Love expands human capacity to enable it to work towards its full potential. In this state, the mind enters a flow state, action becomes effortless actions, we still work very hard, yet we do not feel the drudgery as our innermost being transcends our physical nature, and we reclaim the experience of the highest spiritual dimension that is within us. It gets us the stillness that we require to hit the target. When your focus on your target become absolute, you can spot any target just by feeling its unique vibration. Simply, you must gather the whole of yourself in stillness before you hit a target.
Devotion: The Means and Love: The Highest Goal
You need to be devoted to your work. Devotion is the means and love is the highest goal of devoted work. Whatever or whoever we completely devote ourselves to, fully occupies us. If we devote ourselves to ignorance, then we grow in our ignorance; if we devote ourselves to that which we like, we simply perpetuate our desires for our likes; if we devote ourselves to the higher intelligence of love, beyond likes and dislikes, we begin to embody that love.
The Spirit behind Effortless Action
It is not the action itself but the spirit behind the action that makes the action effortless. The spirit-in-action simply means work that is linked with the transcendental spirit that flows through us. When we do our work in the spirit of worship, the quality of the work is transformed. Even ordinary work becomes extraordinary when it receives the kiss of the spirit.
Conclusion
In the grand tapestry of life, let us embrace the art of conscious action and devoted work, transcending our limitations, and manifesting our true potential.
