Art in situ is a passion for professional WA artist Christie-Coxon who draws on her extensive art and design background (which includes an Art History Major, 2 years of Architecture; and 10 years as owner and operator of successful interior design studio and art gallery Code Orange and Code Red, respectively.
‘For commissions, the essence of the client inspires me. I contemplate my clients brief, the patron themselves and the space the art will inhabit. I may begin with sketches of the environment to explore placement and scale, and creative studies. My practice is a process driven dialogue with paint whereby I facilitate the expression of paint. Each work therefore evolves as a unique expression, within the framework of a guided conversation. I imagine the aspect of spontaneity in my work says something about the nature of my clients.’ - Caroline Christie Coxon
