"Every choice before you represents the universe inviting you to remember who you are and what you want." ~ Alan Cohen
We are faced with hundreds of choices every day, from what we want for breakfast to who we want to be.?
Every choice we make, determines the quality of life we have. Our choices can have significant enough consequences to effect us for many years to come.?
Who we choose to allow to be close to us, our circle of friends, who we trust to become our life partner, what profession we choose, how we interact with our children… all of these many choices forge the quality of life we have.?
If our choices are coming from a place of disconnect from who we really are, we will make choices out of dependence on others, seeking to fit in, wanting to please others, hoping to be liked by the masses, ultimately leading to suffering and inner pain.?
If the choices we make are driven by a strong sense of who we are as a being, combined with an unwillingness to surrender who we are in a deeper sense to the demand of others, we will feel empowered, fulfilled, peaceful, and calm internally. Inner peace and calm will be present even if the world around us is falling apart, when choices are made from a strong sense of who you are and what you want to do with your life.? ?
How you can tell the difference in the quality of your choices is how you feel internally as your life unfolds.?
If you have chosen wisely, from a place of insight and inner direction, you will feel at ease and calm, no matter what the outcome.? The lesson you needed to learn will be clear.?
If you are feeling anxious, worried, and uncertain about a choice you have made, your decision arose from a mindset of fear, need, or desiring to control the future. Your feelings always let you know the quality of your current thinking.?
The universe is a powerful force within every being. Choices are placed before us constantly. The choices we make will indeed teach us many things about ourselves, even when the choice was not so wise.?

In my personal life, the choices I have made with the most distressing consequences, have taught me the most. These were lessons I likely would not have learned at my current level of understanding at the time, in any other way.?
As we learn more, we can make better choices.?
The most important skill one can ever learn is knowing how to listen to the voice within you, that is trying to teach you how to choose wisely.?
If you make time every day to be silent and still, to reflect on who you are as a being, insights will arise to guide you. Insights cannot reach your conscious awareness if you are constantly distracted by busy work, stimulus overload, and internal mind clutter arising from constant “doing”.
Insights arise in a whisper… when you are silent.?
The universe is constantly inviting you to bring awareness into your choices, not to go along with the masses.?
Listen for the quiet, calm voice within to choose wisely.?
