Is Art a Business? Or is Business an Art?
We know different modes of art including beautiful objects, fine arts and wonderful masterpieces of music and films. We observe how every piece of art we create for the consumer market most revolves around the business.
In this article, I would like to share how the business itself can become an art.
Business for human beings had started centuries ago which the battery system where one party exchanged goods or services with the other party with a mutual understanding of exchange. Starting from the industrial revolution and mass production, we have observed a huge shift in how exchanges have transformed from a simple barter system to monetary exchange by producing, transferring, and selling any article or service in the marketplace.
But how does a business becomes an art? Is it the method and process of business? Or is it the situation and scenario of difficult decision-making processes within the business that sets them apart? How do they become inspirational case studies for future business owners to replicate and learn from?
As a management student, and as a business professional, each of us has probably read at least 30 to 40 amazing case studies of how giant businesses have stayed resilient and developed. In each case study, we try to learn small practices of business which shows us solutions and approaches to tough problems in business. For example, students around the world read cases that are shared in various Harvard Business Reviews.
What makes these cases hand-picked to be studied by business students around the world? It mostly revolves around the brilliance and strategic art of solving big problems with small solutions. Essentially what we can understand from the above arguments is that the art of trade is what makes a business successful and becomes an inspiring story itself.
Therefore we understand that not only are different forms of art sold in the marketplace but that each growing business in itself is one fine art piece in the world.
