The Art of Being Nimble in Disruptive Times
I had multiple conversations at the VISA Payment Technology Provider Forum in San Francisco last week, and it is clear that partners and clients demand access to payment solutions aligned with THEIR strategic goals. It is my personal mission to make that attainable by becoming an astute partner who listens and puts the needs of the client first.
Merchants are tired of spending mental capital trying to compare and contrast what they consider a bunch of look-alike devices and payments-as-a-service models that do not always make sense when viewed through the lens of their business.
To paraphrase one large retailer with whom I spoke: “Payment challenges have become unnecessarily complex, and we just aren’t sure who to trust.”
Many merchants large and small are confused about a clear path forward. The challenges of mitigating risk—combined with the complex process of implementing EMV and responding to evolving payment trends—has made it difficult for many retailers to effectively realize fundamental goals associated with an improved customer payment experience.
The guiding principles for me and my colleagues at Equinox Payments is to ask: “What else can we do for our partners and clients?” and “How can we help you achieve your goals?”
