Is art worth fighting for??Is it worth committing a crime – to help stop an alleged crime being committed?
BANKSY CAUSES PANIC IN REGENT STREET!
There was panic among staff at a GUESS store in Regent Street in London last Friday, after the famous graffiti artist BANKSY appeared to encourage his 11.5 million followers on Instagram to go on a shoplifting spree!
He alleged that the clothing chain was using his images on their clothing, and in their window display, without his permission.
“They’ve helped themselves to my artwork without asking, how can it be wrong for you to do the same to their clothes?” he wrote in a post on the social media platform.?The artworks referenced include ‘Flower Thrower’, ‘Queen Ziggy’, ‘Living The Dream’, ‘Thug for Life Bunny’, and ‘Flying Balloon Girl’.
After Banksy posted the message on Instagram, it was reported that panicked staff closed the Regent Street store, put security outside, and covered the window display.
IS IT? OR IS IT NOT?
William Shakespeare has surprisingly popped his head up – literally!??A portrait which has been unveiled in London is reputed to be the ONLY signed and dated image of The Bard painted during his lifetime.
The portrait has been described as the forgotten face of Shakespeare, waiting for more than 400 years to be re-discovered.??In the parlance of the art market, it is the greatest ‘sleeper’ ever to emerge.?It has gone on display at the Grosvenor House hotel.
The painting is by Robert Peake (1551-1619), court painter to King James I.?It’s dated 1608, and is signed by the artist - with the age of the sitter recorded on the portrait as 44.??William Shakespeare was 44 in 1608.?
The portrait once hung in a Yorkshire stately home, and has been in private hands since 1975.?It’s now being sold, and is expected to reach more than £10 million.?
Inevitably, at least one Shakespeare expert has raised doubts that the painting is a portrait of The Bard, saying that it’s just ‘wishful thinking’.

We are proud to share with you one of the most enjoyable pieces of voiceover work Simon says (no pun intended) that he's done so far!
The talented Chris Dixon?of Little Fish Digital?has produced an insightful book that helps children to identify and understand their emotions ??????
Simon has helped turn this delightful book "That's Okay" into an accompanying audiobook.
Each emotion is represented by a beautifully illustrated little character, all of whom now have their own individual voice.
This was such a fun project and I'm sure that many children and their families will be blessed by it.
You can see/hear a sample and purchase the book at the link below. It's well worth a look!
