The art of Accepting Appreciation!!!

This thought triggered to me while talking to a close friend. As adults, we often find it surprisingly hard to accept appreciation. It's not just about accepting it gracefully; sometimes, we even start doubting the intentions behind it, questioning why someone would appreciate us. This behavior isn't limited to our personal lives; it often extends into corporate environments as well. That's why many well-intentioned initiatives for appreciating each other in the workplace fall flat. The receiver, instead of basking in the warmth of appreciation, takes it with a grain of doubt and a pinch of salt.
But here's where it gets interesting - observe kids, and you'll find a refreshing contrast. My 5-year-old son, Ayaan, is a prime example. He absolutely loves appreciation and responds to it in the most genuine way possible. For him, there are no hidden agendas behind appreciation; he wholeheartedly accepts it. In fact, he's a little appreciation machine, spreading positivity everywhere he goes.
What can we learn from Ayaan and children like him? Well, quite a lot, actually.

Incorporating these childlike qualities of accepting and giving appreciation can transform our personal and professional lives. So, next time someone appreciates you, take a page from Ayaan's book and say, "Thank you, that means a lot!" ????
And as Ayaan would say when looking at a rabbit, "Look at that cutieee!" ????
