Arpita's expedition to Antarctica - empowering #womeninSTEMM to lead for the health of our planet

Hello everyone! I have recently been selected for a ground breaking, global #womeninSTEMM leadership program #HomewardBoundProjects that centers around #genderequality, empowering more women in STEMM fields into #leadership, and #climate change. Women in STEMM are under-represented globally and women's voices (and their contributions) are not being heard when it comes to decision-making on critical issues that affect the health of our planet (#climatecrisis). Unfortunately, #climatechange will not wait until we figure out how to achieve gender equality, and so, the time to act is NOW. I am using my skills as a Biologist trained at Max Planck and Harvard to empower more women in STEMM (myself included) to protect our planet.

With this selection, I will be representing my country India on a global platform in my own small way. Another fun aspect about this program is that this 1-year long training ends in a voyage to #Antarctica! You can read all about it if you click the link below.
