Around the world in a day – every day: Emapta Global

Here in Italy, with the sun yet to reveal its crown, my day unfolds.?

My day begins with a focus on Asia: putting in a couple of “virtual Manila” hours to meet with Emapta colleagues in the Philippines. My Pinay work family never fails to brighten my mood and warm me up for the work ahead.?

It's also at this time of day that I get to catch up or engage with our teams and client partners based in Australia and New Zealand.? A perfect quick ‘Virtual High Fives’ before they are about to wind down their day. A few hours in, I see the daylight revealing the lush green Italian mountainside just outside my window.?

I take a short break and join my family for breakfast with a light, but yummy bowl of muesli and my first Espresso of the day.?

Once the kids are off to school, I go back to my home office and virtually transport to North Macedonia as our team there is starting their day. As Head of European operations, I visit my team in Skopje in person every month and those days together in person are always a highlight. After all, it’s just a couple of hours away by plane.?

Midday and early afternoons are dedicated to some focused work, emails, or meetings with European teams and clients.?

Later on, I virtually hop over to the Americas (and sometimes to the UK) for the better part of the afternoon to assist some of our clients. And, whenever the opportunity presents itself, I meet with prospects who have shown interest in Emapta’s services.?

As the day winds down, it's quality time with the kids. Afterward, I may take a leisurely walk or go on a run. Just some of the fun things I do to manage stress.?

In between bites and banter over dinner with the family, I am reminded of a wonderful reality: technology has made my life better.?

Thanks to light yet powerful laptops, strong WiFi, portable hotspots, and affordable internet plans, companies now have operational flexibility while employees get to enjoy better work-life balance.??

Geographic boundaries were also a harsh limitation back then, holding us back from finding and hiring people from other countries. Technology today has made this possible at a low cost – a concept we live day-in-day-out in our Outsourcing business.?
