One of the best things about working in the world of motorcycle PR is the amazing stories you hear. The guy in the leather waistcoat is Markus Mayer, a German scooterist who rode around the world in 80 days.

We spotted him at the Overland Event in Oxfordshire this month. He'd ridden there from Germany on his Vespa (of course) but not directly. Instead, he travelled via Nordkapp, in the Norwegian Arctic Circle!

He was one of 30+ inspirational speakers at the event and it's always a joy to spend time in the company of people with the get up and go to get up and go.
