Around the coast in 30 days

7 weeks from today on the 1st June, I am starting a walking challenge in Minehead like no challenge I have undertaken before.?

On that very day in 2020 my mates Andy Coles and Damien Natale were cycling on a straight road between West Wycombe and Stokenchurch when they were driven into from behind and killed by Clifford Rennie who wasn't looking whilst travelling at over 50mph.?

On the 3rd anniversary I am taking on 650 miles and 115,000 feet of climbing along The South West Coast Path in just 30 days. I am walking, not cycling as cycling just isn't the same anymore without them.?

It's the equivalent distance from my house in Buckinghamshire to John O'Groats and like climbing Everest every week for 4 weeks - they loved a challenge.

I aim to finish at South Haven Point on the 30th June (legs willing)

I am raising money for Cyclists Fighting Cancer - they raise money to give specially converted bikes to children suffering from cancer, as it helps aid their recovery and it was the charity the boys were going to support in 2020 before the opportunity was taken away.?

I'd love to raise a bike a day - a huge challenge in itself as they cost an average of ￡800 each - but hey, what's life without a big hairy goal to aim for.?
