Around the Bases 9/26
Welcome back! Much to my dismay, another Summer has ended (I'll keep hanging on to as much of it as I can), and I hope the fall has a few new great experiences for you. Its been a huge week here at ATB with a bunch of new readers added in the past week, so thanks as always for your support here, it means a lot as we keep going forward.
Small wins. They are out there for all of us, and an important step in getting to "the next thing" is how you add them up. For me, they don't even have to have anything to do with with each other. I start most of my days with something I know I can do around the house (make a bed, fold some clothes, etc), then try to roll those achievements into bigger things I have on the menu. Just doing something can get you un-stuck and on the right path to the bigger goals that you have set for yourself. All it takes is a little effort at something that needs very little except the desire to do so, and you'll be on your way.
Need a great story to get you going? This one should do. This week's Something to Watch comes from Kwame Onwuachi, a very successful chef in New York. A great story here about going after what you really want, something that I have mentioned here in the newsletter more than a few times.
I haven't shared anything from Jen Sincero in a stretch, and I saw another one of her books recently that hit for me and I know it can hit for you. This week's Something to Read is a very useful collection here of tips told in her own great unique style.
This week's Something to Listen To is a podcast series from the Washington Post, "Try This". A short episode here for a little boost you may need as you head out on your path. They just got started with this, so only 2 episodes so far, but very helpful. Awesome stuff here.
Here are the Top 10 roles I saw this week, with the first 5 coming from our team at CBS. There are a couple of great spots with the News team that are worth exploring. I can get you right into the process for those positions, and may have a way or 2 into the others listed below. Please DM he here or email me at [email protected] for more.

The PGA has a TON of things going on with their new facility down in Florida. I have a couple of great connections there, and this is just one of the roles they are hiring for.
With the fall arriving, it also means a new Fall TV schedule gets started as well. For me and so many others, the premiere of yet another season of Survivor gets underway. Strangers strategizing their way to a million dollars, with little to no guidance as they make it up as they go. If only they had a guide who could advise them. More than a few viewers have played that role as they watch, yelling advice to the TV as a move is made or a vote is cast at tribal council. If you are in need of a guide as you strategize your way through a career journey, we should talk. I have been on my share of "islands" during my career, and I have more than a few of the maps you will need to find your way. Resume rebrands, reel reviews before you send them out to be looked at, and career tips and advice you will get from no one else. Please check out my website below and see how we can help each other. Either DM me here or email at at [email protected] to set up a free consultation call. Take the step, your return on the investment in yourself can lead you to places you may never have thought of.
Before we wrap up another week, a quick shout out to those in the community who are starting something new (you know who you are!). Thanks again for your time here, as the community keeps on growing (1500 members, here we come!). Have a great weekend!
