Around the Bases 8/18

Back at it again, with plenty going on as the fall fast approaches. This was always an interesting time for me, as I always try to hang on to summer as long as I can while the fall sports/work calendar approaches.

Fall brings football, basketball and hockey (lots of opportunities here), but it also brings everyone's favorite time of year- the year end review. It sneaks up on you at your least reflective time as you get in your vacations and other thins you handle during the summer, then, all of a sudden, you get the email about your self evaluation and then before you know it, its time for the sit down with your manager. My brain would often spin into a few directions during this time, and few were helpful in helping me sort things out. This week's something to watch is a series that just wrapped up on VICE TV. It was about George Lucas, and they story behind the making of his 6 Star Wars films. A unique look at what went on behind the scenes. It was called "Icons Unearthed" and the episodes are easy to find.

This week's Something to Read is a less than 300 page trek for those looking for a unique point of view on motivating yourself and getting things together.

This week's Something to Listen To comes from a pretty cool podcast called "Masters of Scale", this episode is about creativity.
