Around the Bases 1/24
Welcome Back! Hoping everyone is having the best week you can with a lot going on all over the country. I have a few content choices below that might give you a little lift up for a moment and will continue to push myself every week looking for more. Thanks to all of you who are taking part in what we have going on here as we close in on a great goal in membership growth as we head into February,
Another sports season ended this past Monday, with Ohio State taking the crown on the college football gridiron. As a lot of us in this space know, one season ends, and others really pick it up, while others are waiting to get started. The lesson? Its always game on, as it should be for you as you navigate your path to what you are looking for. Be it a new place to hang your hat, or a move up the depth chart in your current situation, wanting to do more is no crime. Focus on what you want, what you bring to the table, and get things going in that direction. "Stuck" is no lane to be in, and this time of year it is easy to hibernate. Resist the urge, the start you need is right in front of you.
Sometimes, the search for the weekly Something to Watch takes me a little while to find. This week, it took about 1 minute. Katarina Blom has some great insight here on something that should be a little easier for all of us.
Feeling weighed down by negative self-talk? I've been a little bit of this of late, and when I came across this week's Something to Read it seemed like something worth sharing. Sometimes being stuck revolves around how you perceive yourself. This book from Vaughn Carter offers some guidance.
A shorter than usual choice for this week's Something to Listen To. The legendary Jen Sincero has been featured here now and then, and this podcast episode from the Depression Detox Show offers a great burst of what Jen is all about and how she can help you.
Here are the Top 10 jobs I saw this week, with the first 5 coming from our team at CBS (the news team is really ramping up). I can get you directly into the process for those roles, and may have a way or 2 into the others listed below. Please DM me here or email me at [email protected] for more.

With the NFL season having only 3 games left (?!?), the news this week has been the buzz around new coaches getting hired to turn the fortunes around of their new teams, and the others who are looking for new leadership as the offseason approaches. If you are finding yourself in a spot where a career coach could help you plot your future, we should talk. I have years of experience in the sports media business to help you in a number of ways. A majority of my career has been spent in the trenches advising professionals on how to get better either in front of or behind the camera. Resumes, demo reels, contacts, and guidance that few in this industry can provide are some of the things I offer. Please check out my website below and see how we can help each other. The consultation call is free, so just email me at [email protected] and see how much return you get on the investment in yourself.
That's it for another week- a quick shout out to those on the ballclub here who are starting something new (you know who you are!). Thanks for all of your support here every week- it means more than you know. Have a great weekend1
