?? versus Baltic Sea! SCH?N travels by bike through the history of the world! Arrrooooo! ?? I have ventured into outdoor adventure and turned my life upside down. So I immediately set myself a big travel project for my first long bike ride: the Baltic Sea. Together with my bike Bergamont, equipped with bike bags from Vaude, I threw myself into the adventure alone. Arrrooooo! ?? I spend the night only in nature, with a few exceptions. Cooking, making fire, discovering new landscapes and places, as well as meeting new people, make up my travel life. Arrrooooooo! ??

Why the trip around the Baltic Sea?

Because I wanted to manage on my own and not make my plans in life dependent on other people. Also, like in the movie Into the Wild, I wanted to get to know myself better, beat old fears in the face, demons in my head, simply experience something new every day and break out of the boring comfort zone. What countries has your bickepacking tour taken you around?

Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Sweden and Denmark. I avoided Kaliningrad and Saint Petersburg due to the war in Ukraine and international political tension. I have partly cycled the Eurovelo 10 and the Greenvelo in Poland. Of course, I have also been on other cycling routes such as official coastal cycling routes. There are no route details because I simply say that everyone should create their own adventure and challenge fate. I worked with Google Maps and used country-specific apps to find fireplaces and places to stay overnight, for example. Arrrooooooo! ??
