Aromatherapy improves sleep quality as well as stress, pain, anxiety, depression, and fatigue in adults and older adults, according to a review of 30 studies published in Complementary Therapies in Medicine. The most common aromatherapy used was lavender oil.

The researchers reported that advantages of aromatherapy for improving sleep quality and mood include low cost, ease of access, low time investment, and quick effects.?
