Hi Everyone, last year during the outbreak of the Pandemic and being furloughed, I have challenged myself to run 2km every hour for 24 hours, with a fundraising goal of 250$ for Save the Children International, and with your support, we raised 395$ :). I also did in-between tasks every hour to show how much we can do in a day balancing our work, health, and time for ourselves and loved ones.
#ForwardForArne
This year is different and more personal, I will challenge myself to run 6 am to 6 pm for 2 days targeting a 100km mileage for Arne and for what Marriott International stands for. I have been with the company for 10 years now and running 100km is the least I can do to pay tribute to a great leader and a great company. The original plan was David Goggins' 4x4x48 challenge (4 miles, every 4 hours for 48 hours) however, Tbilisi, Georgia has some curfew implemented and we have to respect and abide by the rules.
I thought carefully if I should do another fundraiser, but I decided that this time it's just me and Arne, and hopefully, you too will join as well.
Same like last year, I will be doing an Instagram story and my running data will be on Strava:
- March 19: Starts 6am - Ends 6pm: 50km
- March 20: Starts 6am - Ends 6pm: 50km
