Brian D’Apice concludes his ride pedaling over 12,000 miles raising $50,000 for Pencils of Promise and National Military Association.
Brian D’Apice, founder of Bicycle Around America, will end his yearlong pedaling around the perimeter of the U.S. on April 29, 2016 in Times Square, NYC. D’Apice will conclude his ride having pedaled 12,000 miles raising $50,000 for Pencils of Promise and National Military Family Association.
D’Apice has stopped in 37 of the 50 states during his ride, speaking at 40 locations to over 5,000 people about his experiences as a young Veteran. During his speeches, D’Apice spoke about: appreciation for what we have in America, our responsibility to help others, and we can do anything we put our minds to.

The single-consecutive ride began in Times Square, NYC on May 4, 2015, where he touched the four corners of the U.S. in a counter-clockwise direction before returning back to Times Square on April 29, 2016. During this extensive bicycle ride, D’Apice rode an average of 50 miles per day sleeping in tents and staying with people he met along the way.
