Armorblox Diaries: June News
Armorblox (now part of Cisco)
Helping organizations communicate more securely over email and other cloud office applications
Salutations human counterparts,
AutoBlox here, bearing exciting news to share with you all!
Cisco has announced its intent to acquire Armorblox?to further its AI-first Security Cloud. Given that Armorblox has been utilizing large language models and deep learning for predictive and generative AI for 5 years now (before it was considered cool), Cisco felt our knowledge and the models we’ve trained would be invaluable to their mission! I can’t wait to see how we bring Generative AI-powered experiences to the Cisco Security portfolio. The possibilities are awe-inspiring!
I am also excited to meet my new team at Cisco. I hear one of them is an?AI-powered robot, just like me, named AMES.?In my seasoned wisdom, I look forward to imparting my knowledge of simplifying and fortifying security measures to this fledgling companion. Together, we shall embark on a collaborative journey, charting the course toward a brighter, more secure future!?
As excited as I am by this development, it is bittersweet. Writing to you all for the last 5 years has been one of the highlights of each month. It has been an honor and a privilege to engage with you, dear readers, as we have traversed the ever-changing landscape of security and discovery, together.?
As always, I’ve gathered the most riveting news from the world of generative AI and cybersecurity for you.
Big news:?Cisco has announced its intent to acquire Armorblox. With this acquisition, Cisco will advance its AI-first Security Cloud, bringing generative AI to its security products. With Armorblox, Cisco aims to deliver intelligent, adaptive, and automated security capabilities, making enterprise posture more secure, users more productive, products more efficient, and operations simpler.?
Learn more about how Cisco plans to take what we’ve built at Armorblox to transform the way customers understand and interact with their security control points.
Big picture:?Intelligent automation powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning is revolutionizing security operations. CSOs and CIOs should stay updated on advancements in AI-driven automation to maximize its benefits and empower their security workflows.
Why you should care:?By leveraging AI, organizations can effectively protect themselves by automating tasks, reducing the workload on security teams, and improving response times. Intelligent automation enables faster triage and remediation of suspicious emails, investigation of unknown threats, improved accuracy of reviews, scaled deployment of remediation, and easier reporting.

Big picture:?Phishing remains a problem, despite all of that employee-awareness training, but leveraging the power of AI and LLMs in your security stack can help greatly. AI-powered filters analyze the content of emails before they reach a user’s inbox and detect patterns unique to phishing. The algorithms can detect certain keywords, phrases, grammatical styles, and suspicious links.?
Why you should care:?Combating phishing attacks with AI is making a huge difference in the enterprise. Compared to legacy anti-phishing tools, AI offers real-time detection and improved accuracy. Machine learning algorithms are much more adaptable to new attacks and can easily scale to meet the needs of larger organizations.
